Hand cutting paper expresses Hannah’s interest in pattern, movement, and the natural world. The dynamic and twisting cuts, as they expand and contract, represent the motion and energy found in currents of air and water. By controlling the shape and size, the static cuts speed up and slow down as they move within the boundaries of the paper and, in some instances, escape completely. Stop by, chat with the artist and tour the interior of the Woman's Industrial Exchange.
