The First Ladies tells the story of the friendship of Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary McLeod Bethune. During a time of segregation and Jim Crow, these two women found a way to forge a friendship…and change some things in this world.
Victoria Christopher Murray and Marie Bennett are award-winning authors. Their first book, The Personal Librarian, was an Instant New York Times Bestseller. It was also a Good Morning America Book Club Pick, and named a Best Book of the Year by NPR. It was also named a Notable Book of the Year by the Washington Post.
The cash bar will open at 12:00 pm, lunch will be served at 12:30, and the program will run from 1:00–2:00.
