The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has been providing civic education and advocacy through volunteers since 1920. The League encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
Through the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County - Citizen Education Fund the League produces a Voters’ Guide before each election, publishes The Elected (a guide to elected officials), sponsors candidate forums and debates, as well as, providing an Election Hotline, voter registration, a Speakers Bureau and educational forums on topics of public interest.
